When Lewis' loneliness leads him to discover a mannequin that greatly resembles his deceased mother, he becomes convinced that the mannequin can be used to bring his mother back to life. And so begins Lewis' difficult and remarkable journey to try to end his loneliness and mend his fractured family by bringing back the one person who truly seemed to love and care for him.

Throughout his journey, Lewis will have to discover how to bring his mother back to life, how to separate his vivid imagination from reality and how to face his family's hidden skeletons.

Lewis' bold quest will also compel the Poppy men, each one isolated in his individual pain and sadness, to confront their own private demons.
